We have been enjoying the freedom, space and challenges on the playing field. For our older children it has been a chance to build on previous experiences, while our April starts have been exploring what’s on offer. The gentler slopes at the far end of the field are popular with the children. They enjoy escaping here at times for some quiet time under the trees while at other times there is lots of energetic play with children experiencing the thrill of running or rolling down the slopes. Often we accompany our play with songs such as Jack and Jill (went up the hill….) or The Grand Old Duke of York (…….he marched them up to the top of the hill ….). From the photos below you can see children challenging themselves on the climbing equipment and (without any adult prompting 😀) supporting each other.
