Our outdoor focus this term has been looking at Forces. The children have enjoyed building their own ramps in the garden, rolling down balls and cars. Talking about the force of push and pull.

Bubble wrap was added to the drainpipes to introduce the concept of friction.

The children used a pendulum outside to explore pushing and pulling to make patterns and shapes.

The children wanted to sledge but there wasn’t any snow! This didn’t stop them as they found an interesting way of exploring friction.

SCN 0-07a Through everyday experiences and play with a variety of toys and other objects, I can recognise simple types of forces and describe their effects.
